Sadly the ‘Jewel’ of Salthouse was considered unsafe in its glass case on the ledge where once there had been an altar, at the east end of the north aisle, and was fetched away to be stored safely several years ago by order of the Bishop’s Committee, it is now at the NRO in Norwich.
